Blog #16 The End and the Beginning

PENTECOST CELEBRATION: The Sunday before Ordination was the Pentecost Celebration at our home parish, St Clare of Assisi in O’Fallon, Illinois.  The parish community provided a wonderful pre-Ordination celebration, and my family was so very grateful for the support, hospitality and generosity we received.  The memories created will be cherished and remain with us for quite some time.

FORMATION COMPLETION:  We completed 5 years of academics, prayer and spiritual discernment. June 3rd was the day of Ordination, The day was filled with excitement but was little stressful too.  I think it was easy to let the process of being in the right spot and saying the right words overshadow the rich spirituality of this very sacred moment.  A little something that I did to help me remember the journey of the spiritual life was to carry my First Communion Card (pictured below) with me during Ordination.  For me, it was a great spiritual reminder of  the journey from First Communion to Deacon Ordination.

GENEROSITY: I just wanted to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who supported me with thoughts, prayers, gifts and financial support throughout my Deacon formation journey!
