Back to School
This month is the beginning of the the 4th year of a 5 year Deacon Formation program. I realize some of you reading this may have little understanding of Deacon Formation. But, I hope to explain more about the process as I post monthly. Here is a little snapshot of what happens on a typical weekend. Classes are one weekend a month (Fri, Sat, Sun). I am one of 17 candidates plus spouses that attend. The topic for September’s class is Christology. To prepare for our weekend class, we are reading a book called God Sent His Son, by Christoph Cardinal Schonborn. We have an instructor that teaches us in-person at the Diocese of Belleville, Shiloh. After class this month, I will do another post to give more detail on what we discovered and maybe include photos of where we attend class.
Off to Italy…
In a few weeks, my sister and I are traveling to Italy visiting historic and religious sights in Assisi, Rome and the Vatican! Red wine to be added as necessary to get the full cultural experience 🙂
Check out the Home page for more details about me and contact information. Thank you for reading my post! I can’t wait to share more about this journey and discoveries along the way,
